At just past midnight, after coming back from engagement drinks (did I mention Dave and Laurie are engaged now...?), the melting of the Dairy Milk began. The pot of glaced cherries, normal ones are so out of season, was ready. Then, at about 00:03, the cherries were dipped and National Chocolate Covered Cherry Day was celebrated.
